valentine's day recipe:

baked alaska

ingredients

genoese sponge base 4 pc
fruit syrup 75 ml
scoops of ice cream 4 pc
Italian meringue 250 gm

production

  1. On an oven proof dish place the 4 pieces of sponge
  2. Sprinkle them with the syrup but not so much as to make them soggy
  3. Place a scoop of ice cream onto each sponge base
  4. Completely cover each piece of the ice cream with the meringue
  5. Decorate each Alaska with the rest of the meringue in a piping bag and a star tube (no ice cream should show)
  6. Glaze in a hot oven (230°C) until coloured golden brown or glaze under the salamander or with a blow torch, serve immediately
