valentine's day recipe:

chocolate madeleines

ingredients

butter 60 gm
flour 60 gm
cocoa 2 tbs
eggs 2 pc
castor sugar 50 gm
ground cinnamon ½ tsp

production

  1. Butter and flour madelaines moulds (these are shell like shapes) and set aside
  2. Melt the butter and stir in the flour and cocoa ensuring there is no lumps
  3. Whisk the eggs, sugar and cinnamon together until pale and frothy
  4. Fold the butter mixture into egg mixture
  5. Place mixture into a piping bag and pipe into moulds
  6. Bake in a 180°C preheated oven for 10 minutes or until a skewer/knife comes out clean
  7. Remove from moulds immediately and cool on a cooling rack
  8. Dust with cocoa or icing sugar
