st
george's day:

The
23rd of April marks the death of the Patron saint of England,
St. George, who tradition has it was a Roman priest and a
Christian martyr.
Not only the patron saint of England, but also of many countries,
professions and even the patron saint of disease sufferers.
Not sure I would like to be associated with the latter.
He lived circa 275 until 303
Legend tells that he slew a dragon. Sorry but no dragon recipes
this month, but instead I am featuring recipes and dishes
that are quintessential English ones, though some of them
may have roots elsewhere also.
