- Melt the butter over a low heat
- Add the sliced onions and gently cook until softened
- Add the remaining ingredients and simmer until broccoli
is cooked
- Pour into a liquidiser and blitz until smooth
- Pour back into saucepan and bring back to a simmer
- Taste, season and serve
