Mother's day is celebrated on various days around the world.

The modern mother's day is in fact a relatively modern celebration. Created and promoted by an American lady, Anna Jarvais between 1907 to 1914, after the death of her mother. Although she created it she late campaigned against it, once it became far too commercialised.

A celebration of motherhood, has however existed in the UK as far back as the Sixteenth century

The only recipes I have given for Mother's Day is breakfast ones, for Mother's deserve breakfast in bed on this special day and then everyone should treat them to a either lunch or dinner at a restaurant. Lets face it, they probably have had enough of home cooked meals.
