- Grill bacon until crisp, cut into small strips
- Finely dice the onion
- Set aside
- Sift the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt together
twice
- Add enough warm milk to form a slightly stick dough
- Turn out onto a lightly floured surface
- Knead for 5 minutes until a non sticky but very pliable
dough is obtained
- Roll into a cylinder
- Scale into even egg size pieces
- Roll each piece to an oval shape approx ½ cm
thick
- Place some of the filling onto each brush edges with
water, fold in half and roll slightly to seal and flatten
- Deep fry at 170°C until golden brown and cooked
through
- Remove and drain
