desserts - cold recipe:

banana cake / bread (creaming method)

ingredients

sugar 250 gm
butter 125 gm
eggs 4 pc
flour 375 gm
milk 500 ml
baking soda 20 gm
baking powder ½ tsp
bananas 2 - 3 pc
vanilla essence sq

production

  1. Cream together the sugar and butter and then add the beaten eggs gradually, and put to one side
  2. Blend the bananas with the milk and vanilla essence (in a food processor)
  3. Sift together the flour, baking soda and baking powder
  4. Mix all the ingredients together and pour into a well greased cake/loaf tin
  5. Bake at 180°C for 40 - 60 minutes or until a small knife comes out clean when inserted into the cakes centre
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 5 - 10 minutes
  7. Turn out gently onto a cooling rack to thoroughly cool

chef notes:

If your mixture appears to separate when adding the beaten egg, just add a little of the sifted flour from your recipe and continue to mix, this
will hold your mixture together.
