good shellfish dish, or platter of simply boiled shellfish
is enough to warm the cockles of anyone's hearts
Purchase them fresh and still alive. Mussels and other bi-valve
shellfish must be tightly shut, or close when u tap them,
once cooked they must open . . . discard any that do not.
They are likely to be dead and contain harmful pathogens (food
poisoning bacteria).
