Cheap,
filling, full of nutrients
Soups can play an important part of a formal menu or the
day to day diet.
They can be made as simple or complex as you wish, as thick
or as thin as you wish. Served thick and hot on a chilly winter's
day it can be a comfort food like no other, it can be refreshing
when served thin and chilled on a hot summer's eve and nothing
wards off the colds and sniffles, or makes us feel better
than a nice bowl of chicken soup when we are ill.
Whether made from fresh seasonal produce or frozen vegetables,
the choices are endless.
